The Coast To Coast Closeup is presented by The Eagle River Casino and Travel Plaza in Whitecourt.

Tyson Hanes is a country music singer/songwriter. He was born & raised in the City of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. He spent his younger years playing sports, riding BMX bikes, & racing motocross. Along with his passion for that adrenaline rush he got from racing, he also developed a passion for music. He was raised listening to music playing in the background no matter what he was doing. He began singing in his guitar class in high school & with some encouragement from teachers, he began to take it more seriously & formed a band called Asylum Country. They became known for their upbeat style & wildly entertaining performances. The band had success throughout the region, however Tyson knew that if he really wanted to put his talent to the test to see if he had the right stuff, he would have to move to Nashville.

At the age of only 23, he packed up on his motorcycle & headed to Nashville to make a new name for himself in Music City. He was hired on playing full time shows at The World Famous Tootsies Orchid Lounge & used his love for adrenaline as a tool in his performances & he began climbing the ladder of performers in Nashville & became known for his high energy shows, and ability to perform any genre of music with ease.

Tyson has opened for names like Keith Urban, Steven Tyler, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. And has played on the same stage with names like Kid Rock, Lee Brice, Jerrod Niemann, Cole Swindell, Mark Chesnutt, Brantley Gilbert and more!

Nowadays he plays to only packed venues with roaring crowds & continues to put on one of the highest energy & fun filled shows country music has ever seen.

If that is not enough, he has just released his first major single “Other Than That” to all major music platforms. This song tells a story while still making you sing along every time you hear it. It’s catchy, clever & has that edge. Tyson hopes to soon have it playing on country radio for all of Canada to hear.
