Sean Gristwood is, in many ways, a modern- day troubadour. In a cowboy hat and well-worn boots, he stands out in Edmonton, Alberta, as a prairie plainsman with stories to tell.
His music roots are strongly influenced by icons such
as Paul Brandt and Garth Brooks, as well as the poetic
storytelling of Chris Ledoux.
He loves to give back to the community by performing for
seniors across the province.
Sean Gristwood is
authentic and unapologetic. Growing up in rural Saskatchewan and Alberta gave
him the country values he holds onto today, and you can hear it plain as day in
the music he makes.
His new single, Sky is Bigger, written by Doug Folkins, and Ivan Daigle, is a song about watching
the small town you grew up in grow and change around you, and wanting to find
somewhere a little slower paced, back to the roots many of us long for.
