Taylor-Rae, grew up to the sounds of country music and draws a great deal of inspiration from the story telling and sincerity of the classic country artists for her own music. With a kick of modern country/rock fusion, she has created a sound unlike any other.
Originally from Edmonton, Taylor-Rae made her way to
Vancouver to attend University and continue pursuing her musical career. Since
moving west, she continues to build her resume on the coast and was named the
winner of the 2018 BCCMA “Breakthrough Project” competition with her
accompanying band “The Backseat Drivers”.
Taylor-Rae also performs with the Top Line Vocal Collective,
a contemporary soul choir, and alongside JUNO nominated gospel artist Warren
Dean Flandez. She has performed across North America playing venues including
the 2017 JUNO’s, the Bluebird Cafe, the Big Valley Jamboree and Rogers Arena,
as well as Rogers Place in her hometown of Edmonton.
Following the release of her Debut album this past June,
Taylor-Rae has just come off her Western Canada “Backseat Driver Summer Tour”
opening for the likes of Colin James at Parkland Summerfest in Calgary and
playing for a record breaking crowd at Osoyoos Music In the Park.
