The Coast to Coast Closeup is presented by The Eagle River Casino and Travel Plaza in Whitecourt.

Kira Lynn is a Canadian, now Nashville based singer-songwriter born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta where she grew up professionally dancing, singing, and writing music. Kira released her first album Modern Soul, which was written melodically and lyrically on her own, in 2010 straight out of high school. She then returned two years later with Something Like Love, powered by a $10,000 10k20 Rawlco Radio recording grant Ms. Lynn received while studying music at Alberta’s MacEwan University. (She later returned to MacEwan to study public relations, graduating in 2015).

It took a big leap of faith for Kira Lynn to make the big move to Nashville to pursue her dream, but she is so grateful for the available opportunities such as co-writing alongside of other talented songwriters. Lynn’s singles “I Won’t Let You Go,” written with the late great songwriter,  Ralph Murphy, and “Fallin’ For You,” caught fire at country radio while heralding a vibrant and fast-rising performer on the contemporary scene.

When it comes to lyrics, Kira Lynn is fearless, and prepared to raid her own personal life for useable material. Her next country-pop single Hey Love, which will be released this October 25th, speaks straight from the heart and is truly such a relatable concept for every listener. This catchy tune, written with Stephen Hunley and Bobby Mclamb, is speaking to love as if it were a person.
