The Coast To Coast Closeup is presented by The Eagle River Casino in Whitecourt.

This past year was pivotal in Alecia Aichelle’s career with the release of two singles, many significant shows, and a sponsor car from Scott Subaru of Red Deer for her Western Canadian Hooked On Us radio tour which included visiting over 40 radio stations. The highlight of Alecia’s 2018 summer shows was opening for Aaron Pritchett and Aaron Goodvin at Westerner Days Mainstage Enmax Centrium in Red Deer AB. She also played two shows with her band at Canadian Finals Rodeo Mainstage in Red Deer, including being one of the openers for Lindsay Ell. Following CFR 45, Alecia released Doin’ Here fall 2018 and visited radio stations throughout Alberta.

2019 is shaping up to be another amazing year full of huge opportunities. She is looking forward to a busy summer of shows and radio touring, and returning to Nashville to work on her songwriting and record new music.

Alecia’s new single ”You Rescued Me”, has a profound message of unconditional love and loss. Learning to love with your whole heart and continuing to do so even after experiencing an immense loss can be difficult. Alecia was inspired to write “You Rescued Me” in 2018 after losing her French Bulldog Hank, who was her best friend. Alecia rescued Hank eight and a half years prior, and he in turn rescued her in many ways, namely her heart.

Alecia is encouraging fans to submit pictures of their special dogs for her “You Rescued Me” music video which will be released on May 20, 2019 National Rescue Dog Day. With the release of her new single, “You Rescued Me”, Alecia is excited to use her music to help raise money for Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Foundation in Red Deer, Alberta.
Based out of Klassic Kennels, Paws and Claws rescues hundreds of dogs and cats each year, with an average yearly adoption total of 400-500 animals. They expect that number to double in 2019, with fundraising and expansions to their facility and program.

Proceeds from “You Rescued Me” will be donated to Paws and Claws Animal Rescue Foundation as well as proceeds from “You Rescued Me” merchandise items.
