Canadian Coast to Coast is presented by The Eagle River Casino and Travel Plaza in Whitecourt.

My Special Guest is Tom Dutiaume.

The youngest of thirteen children and, raised in the small town of Richer, MB. the Dutiaume name itself, has become synonymous with the music industry in Manitoba. Tom was surrounded by his brothers and their band mates playing, practicing and jamming in their home, it’s no wonder he picked up a guitar at such a young age! Determined to be part of it all, he dedicated all his time to learning the craft. The hard work paid off and he played his first big show at the Centennial Concert Hall in Winnipeg at the age of 11! And so, the musical seed had been officially sown.

Tom was awarded “Guitar Player of the Year” twice by the Manitoba Association of Country Arts (MACA – now called MCMA) and was a member of the televised MACA award show band many times.Tom’s independent career to take off, gaining work as a session player for many recording studios throughout Manitoba and performing alongside such performers as Faith Hill, Ronnie Dunn, Chris Cummings, and opened for acts such as Juice Newton, Marty Stewart, Waylon Jennings, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to name a few.
