Arlene Huhn, Regional Lead for Client Services and Programs and Velma Roberts, Program Coordinator from the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories are hosting a community education session regarding Alzheimer disease and dementia. They will be talking about reasoning and communication with a person that has the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease/dementia, the thought process, short term memory and long term memory, medications, expectations and advice for care partners.
This is a great opportunity to find out more about Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
This is a launch to start an Alzheimer/Dementia Support Group in the Evansburg/Wildwood area where care partners can come together in a safe, confidential environment to talk about their experiences and learn from each other.
Information and hand-outs will be available as well as further resources. There is no cost and light refreshments will be available.
If you have any questions, please contact the Yellowhead County Wildwood Office at 780-325-3782 or 1-800-814-3935.
